WHO WE ARE

Momentum Event Network was founded to address a growing need in the trade show and meetings industry to outsource event housing services. Led by industry veterans Robert Kolinek and Robert Fett, our staff represents a level of expertise not traditionally found in this industry. We understand your need for systems that provide efficient, accurate and immediate information. We also understand your need for personal attention provided by a caring staff. We know that people power meetings and conventions, not just technology.

ROBERT B. KOLINEK, CEM, CMP

Robert Kolinek’s knowledge of the trade show industry is the product of more than 24 years experience in the industry: he was actually born to it. Robert’s grandmother, Helen Brett, first entered the trade show industry in 1948. As a third-generation businessman, Robert fully understands the diverse components necessary for a successful conference and trade show.

Robert currently serves as president of Helen Brett Enterprises, Inc. and its six entities, including:

Robert has created the industry model for a multi-faceted management entity that supports all aspects of the trade show industry including housing, registration and printing/direct mail. Robert has served on various boards to help support and promote the industry.

He has served within the International Association of Exposition Managers (IAEM) since 1978. Originally participating within the Midwest Chapter, Robert increased his level of involvement to include the national level. He was one of the developers of STEP, a self-teaching program that IAEM employs as part of its CEM curriculum. In 1994, Robert served as president of the association and later, in 1999, was elected to IAEM’s board of Directors. Robert has been a Certified Exposition Manager for more than 15 years and a Certified Meeting Planner for more than 12 years.

ROBERT FETT

Robert (Bob) Fett has led hotel sales and marketing teams to record-breaking success for more than 19 years. His expertise in various market segments for convention and urban properties gives him unique insight into the hotel and resort accommodations industry.

Most recently, Bob served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Oak Brook Hotels, Inc. Prior to that, he held the Director of Sales position for 1,840 room Adam’s Mark Hotel, the largest hotel in Texas, for four years. Bob is particularly proud of his endeavors at Adam’s Mark and considers his handling of the pre-opening of this convention hotel to be personally, as well as professionally, rewarding. During his tenure, Bob was responsible for reviewing productivity, market deployment, forecasting, sales training and space and yield management. He also directed and achieved a yearly team goal of more than 500,000 group nights.

His sales experience in Dallas, Texas, also includes serving as Director of Sales at the Fairmont Hotel, Regional Sales for Remington Hotels and Director of Sales and Marketing for the historic Stoneleigh Hotel. He also held key management positions with Hyatt and Marriott hotel corporations.

Bob’s outstanding sales record leadership and accomplished customer service experience makes him the perfect leader to head up the Momentum team.
